About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Clients and Markets team as a Senior Business Development (BD) Executive based in Birmingham, on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. As a Senior BD Executive, you’ll work closely with our Retail & Leisure sector and Pensions teams. You will be responsible for managing activities that support the delivery of the firm’s client strategy and sector priorities, with a strong focus on developing and maintaining high-quality marketing collateral.

About you:

We are seeking an individual with experience in law or the professional services sector, who demonstrates self-motivation, positivity and tenacity, and thrives as a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. In this role, you will take ownership of enhancing its scope and impact by proactively identifying improvements to systems and processes and introducing innovative ways to apply expertise for the benefit of projects, the team and the wider firm.

You will be able to operate at a strategic level, bringing broader objectives into discussions and decision-making, while remaining adaptable and delivering high-quality outputs within tight deadlines. Strong organisational and project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding grammar and communication abilities are essential, as is the ability to consider different perspectives and use a persuasive approach to agree solutions.

We value curiosity, drive and a willingness to learn, alongside a collaborative mindset to support colleagues when needed. Excellent IT proficiency, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required, and experience or qualifications in marketing would be advantageous but not essential.

What We Can Offer You:

  • The opportunity to work within a strong and supportive BD function and with dynamic partners and lawyers in high profile areas of the firm.
  • A hybrid approach to office and remote working.
  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave.
  • Free private medical insurance, and the option to add family members.
  • Life assurance covering four times your annual salary.
  • The chance of a three-month sabbatical every five years.
  • Maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes.
  • A range of health and wellbeing programmes.
  • Offices in Birmingham city centre or in London overlooking Tower Bridge, both with onsite restaurants.
  • Opportunities to flourish in your role through training and personal development.
