Role Overview
Principal Associate to join the Non‑Contentious Construction team in Birmingham and London, advising property companies, real estate investors, public sector clients, corporate occupiers and contractors on high‑value, high‑profile construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on all major forms of construction contract (JCT, NEC, MF1, FIDIC).
- Advising on development and funding agreements and lease agreements.
- Managing major projects and regeneration schemes.
- Providing pragmatic, commercial advice to clients.
- Running major matters with minimal partner supervision.
- Supervising junior fee earners.
- Delivering excellent client handling and communication.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
- Experience in major construction contracts and agreements.
- Strong negotiating, drafting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent time‑management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to team goals and willingness to explore new areas of work.
- Strong client‑handling skills.
