Join our HR team as an HR & ER Advisor based in London. In this role you will support the HR Advisory team in shaping a positive employee experience across the firm. You will provide proactive, commercially focused support across the employee lifecycle, focusing on managing complex employee relations matters. Act as a trusted advisor, balancing risk, pragmatism, and commercial insight to deliver solutions supporting both the business and people. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influence effectively, and foster a fair, inclusive, high‑performing culture. Additionally, you will actively contribute to HR projects and strategic initiatives, working with HR Business Partners and the wider team to support organisational change, continuous improvement, and the delivery of our People & Talent strategy. You will help shape and enhance ER frameworks, processes and tools, and support initiatives that drive engagement, performance and retention. Travel to our Birmingham office will be required approximately twice per month, with travel expenses covered.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong track record of managing a broad range of employee relations cases end‑to‑end, including complex and high‑risk matters. You should possess a solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application, a balanced commercial mindset, and the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail when preparing case documentation, and strong organisational and technical skills—especially proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)—are essential.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience at HR Advisor / ER Specialist level in a law firm or regulated environment
- Experience using HR data and insights to inform decision‑making
- CIPD Level 7 qualification
