Reporting to the Head of Corporate and liaising with the firm’s Head of Knowledge, you will enhance the efficiency, quality and consistency of the Corporate team’s work. You will join an established knowledge function alongside a London-based PSL colleague who focuses in particular on Capital Markets. This role concentrates on M&A and broader corporate advisory work, supporting fee earners across both offices. The role is varied, and encompasses the usual PSL activities:
- Developing and maintaining precedent documents, ensuring they reflect current law, market practice and regulatory developments.
- Creating know-how resources - practice notes, checklists, model clauses and transaction guides.
- Organising and, where appropriate, delivering training for lawyers at all levels, covering technical updates, transactional skills and market trends.
- Researching technical queries (the team has access to Practical Law, FromCounsel and Lexis).
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, tracking changes in legislation, case law and regulatory guidance, and circulating updates to the team.
- Horizon scanning to identify upcoming legal or regulatory changes affecting clients or the practice.
- Preparing client briefings and alerts on significant legal developments or market trends.
A key aspect of this role will be exploring and implementing new technologies, including AI tools, to improve productivity and service delivery. You will identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance document review and support legal research. We are not looking for a technology expert - rather, someone with genuine curiosity, a proactive mindset and the enthusiasm to champion innovation. All of this at a firm which is genuinely committed to harnessing the benefits of technology having invested in a legal AI business and is one of the few in its market to have adopted Harvey on an enterprise-wide basis.
You will be a qualified solicitor with corporate transactional experience, ideally M&A focused. Whether you are transitioning from fee-earning or already have PSL experience, you will have strong technical grounding and a genuine interest in developing others. You will be organised, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously whilst collaborating effectively across the firm. You will communicate clearly and distil complex concepts into practical guidance. Above all, you will bring energy, curiosity and a forward-thinking approach.
