We are seeking a senior accountant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate has a good in-depth understanding of financial reporting and consolidation, preferably with some experience from a manufacturing industry and isn’t afraid to challenge the norms. The role has a good path for progression at a company with exciting growth plans.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting & financial planning (P&L, Cashflow & Working Capital)
- Assist with month end management accounts and Balance Sheet Reviews
- Assist the Purchase ledger, Sales Ledger & Nominal Ledgers teams
- Filing Quarterly VAT Returns and Monthly CIS Returns
- Work closely with external accountants for filing year-end accounts
- Review and monitor business controls and processes and seek improvements
- Assist with Annual R&D Tax Claims
- Monitor and improve financial reporting including group accounting
Qualifications:
- Experience with Quickbooks or similar software
- Preferably a background with Manufacturing Businesses
- Excellent organisational skills to manage priorities
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills across departments and with external stakeholders
