The Technical Manager is a key contributor to the success of the Gowan business across this territory. This is a critical role in which the individual will develop and support all technical messages and engage with stakeholders to deliver scientifically accurate and compelling messages to benefit Gowan's activities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for technical positioning of Gowan molecules and products in the sub region.
  • Delivering trials, interpreting trial results and preparing technical presentations for current and new molecules.
  • Conducting briefings with all relevant agronomy teams.
  • Managing the marketing responsibilities across the sub region.
  • Providing detailed technical analysis of potential opportunities as required.

Responsible for

  • Maintaining comprehensive relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Working with colleagues to define appropriate GAPs for development molecules and products.
  • Co-ordinating reviews of product performance vs. competitor products as well as being able to coherently explain positioning and pro-actively seek new opportunities.
  • Managing product related issues.

Other

  • Support distributor and other Open Days etc. as necessary.
  • Support and contribute to international technical meetings.
  • Support the sub regional manager in providing insights and technical slides for internal presentations.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the sub regional trends.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the regulatory process.
  • Maintain a good working relationship and expand network with colleagues.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task required by the sub region to meet the needs of the business.

Experience and qualifications

  • Educated to degree level minimum or demonstrate relevant market experience.
  • Be able to show evidence of trial management experience, working with ARM, analysing data and preparing technical presentations.
  • Be willing to undertake further training as and when required by the role.
  • Be able to communicate confidently and coherently to a range of technical audiences.
  • BASIS qualification would be preferred.
