We are currently recruiting for Shunters for our Cricklewood Depot, Letchworth Carriage Sidings, Welwyn Garden City, Bedford, and Peterborough. This is an operational role which requires an awareness or experience of a safety critical role, particularly as situations can change at a moment's notice so you will also need to be alert and meticulous to detail. You should have clear verbal communication as radio use is constant. This is to be placed in to a talent pool for future vacancies.
Purpose of RoleResponsible for ensuring that rolling stock is berthed, shunted, prepared and dispatched to meet the requirements of the service and to facilitate the most efficient train presentation operation. To ensure where applicable that Govia Thameslink Railway rolling stock is externally washed in accordance with the Train Presentation Specification. To ensure where applicable that Govia Thameslink Railway rolling stock CET tanks are emptied in accordance with the Train Presentation Specification.
