Responsibilities
• Vehicle preparation
• Quality control
- Comply with safety systems and procedures at all times.
- Update maintenance records within company systems.
- Carry out non-maintenance related activities (e. g. Crane, Forklift etc.) as directed by your Production Leader and where competent to do so.
- Carry out all other duties where trained and competent to do so.
Qualifications
- Must be able to achieve ASE2 vehicle builder competency
- A minimum of two and half years of relevant engineering experience inclusive of training;
- Reasonable understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles including interpreting technical drawings and plans.
- Be able to meet the requirements of a job specific medical
- Able to meet the competency requirements for safety and task specific training.
- Familiar with (or able, with training, to become familiar with rolling stock maintained or repaired by GTR.
- Be willing learn new skills appropriate to the role.
- Proficiency in carpentry, joinery and metalwork.
- Positive and professional attitude with good working relationships.
