We are looking for a Senior Programme Manager of European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Onboard to lead a team dedicated to ensuring project assurance, proficiency, and enhancement of rolling stock assets within the East Coast Digital Programme. This role is initially offered on a secondment basis until November 2024.
The role:
- Spearhead development of procedures and standards within GTR and wider ERTMS network change programme.
- Provide leadership, resourcing and management of a project and programme team to deliver to business requirements in line with the East Coast Digital Programme.
- Working strategically with relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to efficiently achieve goals and objectives.
- Identify and address risks and opportunities across the department and project in collaboration with the Network Rail Network Change team.
- Support procurement processes associated with the ERTMS & ETCS programmes.
You:
- Experience leading a direct report team is key.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the European Rail Traffic Management Systems and European Train Control systems is desirable.
- Experience of working within a project environment having skills and competency in project/program delivery.
- Familiarity with modern rolling stock maintenance practices and associated regulatory frameworks is desirable.
- Experience in collaborating with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Desirable to have knowledge and expertise in railway group standards, codes of practice and policies.
