What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting depot staff to work safely, effectively, and to high standards
- Ensuring maintenance output and SLA targets are achieved through smart resource planning
- Creating and sustaining a safe, positive, and inclusive working environment
- Developing a cost‑effective, customer‑focused workforce, championing continuous improvement
- Managing depot activities so rolling stock is delivered on time, to standard, and ready for service
- Driving environmental performance improvements within the depot
- Producing manpower and workload indicators to ensure efficient deployment of resources
- Deploying fleet into service in line with the train service plan and franchise requirements
- Maintaining accurate and effective maintenance management systems
- Providing technical guidance and making decisions aligned with engineering and industry standards
- Leading or supporting incident and accident investigations
- Working closely with Training and Competency teams to develop skills, confidence, and capability
- Supporting wider business objectives through additional tasks as directed by the Depot Manager
