Are you a skilled individual in a maintenance field? Do you want to work in a rewarding industry? Here at GTR, we are looking for a Service Engineer to join our amazing team based out of our Hornsey Depot.
This role involves carrying out repair work and routine maintenance to specification across our depot infrastructure. This will also involve fault finding across our depots, then rectifying the faults found.
For this role, we are looking for someone who is skilled and experienced with maintenance work, and has an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering related field.
Skills and experience required:- Served an apprenticeship or equivalent skills/development programme or transferable experience in an engineering field equivalent to NVQ Level 3
- Be physically fit and able to pass a medical to engineering standards
- Be able to pass DP Track and PTS course unless specifically exempt
- Be willing to learn new skills appropriate to train maintenance
- Be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Fault finding on both single and 3 phase systems
- Familiar with all large plant and machinery
- Must possess a valid driving licence
- Competent to carry out fault finding on various types of plant equipment and machinery
- Familiar with building services, low voltage AC/DC electrical equipment, water, sewage, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Competent in diagnosing electrical and pneumatic control system faults
- Carry out PGI and Safety Tours
- Working Outstations or working from other depots – being mobile
- Final salary pension
