Great opportunity to join the team at GTR as the ERTMS Testing & Integration Specialist based at Kings Cross - Noah's Yard. Do you have experience in ERTMS operations, signalling systems or ERTMS onboard systems? Experience of working on multi-asset major programmes? Do you enjoy working shifts which will also include nights? If so, please read on.

As the ERTMS Testing and Integration Specialist you will provide support for GTR for both the testing of new ERTMS routes, traction and other systems as well as introducing them into service. The role requires problem solving, pragmatic working for the best interests of GTR as a business, and collaboration with the wider railway industry.

Your duties will include:

  • Able to create a motivated, healthy, respectful, and constructive working environment; ensuring effective communication at all levels.
  • Working collaboratively both within GTR and with the wider industry.
  • Able to positively promote GTR with external partners and organisations.
  • Can demonstrate the value chain that engagement of customers and stakeholders produces.
  • Considering the needs of the end‑user of a system, ensuring consistency and clarity wherever possible.
  • Able to benchmark services against the highest standards and ambitions; and set clear business and performance targets that colleagues can identify and aspire to.
  • Confidently leading operational decisions during testing, considering the interests of all parties.
  • Focusing resources and team effort on strategic goals of projects and GTR, being able to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Ensure and embed a safety culture that addresses the acceptance of risk and introduces personal accountability and ownership of safety related issues.
  • Any duties as required by the Line Manager.
