We are seeking an Assistant Driver Resource Manager to join our Operations Team at London Kings Cross. You will be reporting to the Lead Driver Resource Manager, your duties will include:
- Ensuring that sufficient Train Crew are provided to run the services.
- Assisting the Driver Resource Manager to ensure all necessary systems are updated to reflect the actual work schedule for Train Crew.
- Managing the day-to-day operations at the depot to provide a safe, reliable and punctual train service to meet customer expectations.
You will be expected to work shift patterns: 05:00-12:25 / 06:30-13:30 / 14:25-22:00 / 09:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.
Support and assist your team to consistently deliver high levels of performance in all Resource Manager activity. Assist the Driver Resource Manager with Train Crews on Genius, TRENT and SHEILA system and other systems to keep them up-to-date to reflect Train Crews booking on, as well as actual work undertaken during shifts, including in times of disruption. Manage Drivers and other relevant staff when they sign on to ensure they are in a fit and proper condition at both unsupervised and supervised depots. Assist the Driver Resource Manager in creating schedule/diagram cards. Ensure compliance with ‘Hidden' excess working hours is maintained, and that if any breaches occur, these are properly investigated. Assist in times of service disruption, liaising with Train Crew to ensure a timely return to normal working is achieved. Ensure that there is sufficient Train Crew available to provide the day-to-day services according to the daily plan to cause minimal delays to train services.
You should possess the following:
- Proven track record of line and resource management in a train environment.
- Ability to plan in a fast-changing environment.
- A track record of delivering exceptional customer service in the transport industry.
- Must have IT literacy, ability to interpret data and understand trends using Trent, Sheila, Genius, Microsoft Office and Performance Management systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.
