We’re looking for someone who spots what needs doing, takes ownership and sees it through.

As our Client Delivery & Events Executive, you’ll help clients get the most from their events and campaigns, keeping projects on track and making sure the details are right.

Government Transformation Magazine connects senior government digital and data leaders with the technology firms and consultancies helping to improve public services.

You’ll join a small team delivering conferences, webinars, private dinners and workshops, with training and support from our Director of Partnerships & Solutions, Greig.

This is a graduate opportunity offering experience across events, client services and commercial operations.

Around 70% of your time will focus on client and event delivery, with 30% supporting sales.

As you develop, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise.

  • Client and event delivery
  • Guide sponsors through their event preparations, keeping them informed about deadlines, deliverables and next steps.
  • Run onboarding and update calls, building confidence in managing client relationships as you learn.
  • Collect speaker details, logos and other materials, and coordinate landing pages and campaign information with our marketing team.
  • Introduce sponsors to their government co-hosts and help both sides prepare.
  • Coordinate webinars, private dinners and workshops, including venue arrangements, catering and room setup.
  • Support conference delivery on site, including registration, badging and attendee records.
  • Prepare agreed post-event reporting and lead handovers, gather feedback and coordinate client debriefs.
  • Sales support
  • Research prospective partners and build targeted prospect lists.
  • Help prepare outreach messages, arrange meetings and follow up on next steps.
  • Keep client and opportunity information accurate in Hub Spot.
  • Help coordinate contracts, signatures, procurement requirements and purchase orders.

You’ll learn how our events and partnerships work, take on more responsibility as your confidence grows and have support when something needs escalating.

What you’ll bring You don’t need previous events or sales experience.

We’re looking for evidence that you can organise work, communicate clearly and follow through, whether that comes from study, a part-time job, volunteering or a project of your own.

You’ll suit this role if you

  • Enjoy organising people, tasks and deadlines, and pay attention to the details.
  • Write clearly and are willing to build confidence speaking with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Take initiative, ask useful questions and flag problems early.
  • Are comfortable using spreadsheets and learning new systems.
  • Enjoy variety and are happy to help with practical event-day tasks.
  • Are interested in how events, marketing and client relationships contribute to a business.
  • What you’ll get
  • Training and day-to-day guidance from Greig, and support from the wider team
  • Experience across client delivery, events and sales, with the opportunity to specialise as you develop.
  • Responsibility for projects you can follow from preparation through to delivery and feedback.
  • The opportunity to work with senior government leaders and leading technology businesses.
  • Three days a week working alongside colleagues in our Waterloo office, 2 days remote

Conference delivery involves three longer working days each year. You’ll also need to travel twice a year to support our Manchester and Edinburgh conferences.
