User Services Testing & Assurance are primarily responsible for testing updates for iOS, Windows and Service Now. We also support the change programme by testing and assuring large, medium, and small changes which impact User Services. This ensures successful deployment into production, ensuring performance improvements and safeguarding our estate. We engage with our stakeholders to inform, support, effectively plan and feedback to ensure we deliver a service that is fit for purpose, quality assured and cost effective. We are key stakeholders in the change approval process, ensuring all change that requires testing has followed and adhered to standard testing practices, has contingency for rollback and all impacts or conflicts with other change have been considered prior to approval.

We are looking for confident individuals to join the User Services team where you will be responsible for undertaking testing activities for new and existing products within DVSA’s IT portfolio to provide high quality results. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your existing skills and expertise while playing a key role in helping deliver DVSA’s vision for safer drivers, safer vehicles, and safer journeys for all.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Working with the User Services Testing and Assurance manager to identify key users’ groups to carry out testing of new or reviewed products within DVSA.
- Conducting testing of new hardware and software, collating evidence to support sound conclusions and escalating any concerns.
- Ensuring testing is undertaken following all DVSA processes and procedures.
- Providing general day to day advice and guidance to a variety of stakeholders.
- Providing support to the wider team to ensure that continuous improvement is implemented to improve the testing service.
- Writing and executing test scripts within Zephyr Scale.
