As the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of financial operations in line with the Agency’s business requirements. You will lead and manage a team, ensuring the efficient operation and delivery of tasks and services while supporting business improvement initiatives, process change, and new projects. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide day-to-day financial advice and support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be a strong advocate for change and continuous improvement, supporting your team and others to adapt while recognising the benefits that change brings to the organisation. You will also be adaptable and flexible, responding to evolving business needs and the strategic direction of the Agency. The Finance Operations Unit plays a critical role in the collection of income and payments to customers and suppliers, contract management responsibility dealing with internal and external stakeholders, and line management responsibility for a small team.
Responsibilities
- Undertake tasks and produce reports as appropriate.
- Lead a team to support the achievement of targets:
- Providing regular performance feedback and coaching with staff in one-to-one sessions, ensuring quality and productivity is maintained.
- Providing advice to colleagues on current and revised procedures.
- Organise resource/staff to achieve agreed performance targets.
