We’re looking for an Associate Test Engineer, who wants to contribute to exciting digital services for the UK Government. The aim of the Identity & Trust Services group is to provide industry-leading authentication and authorisation services by creating technologies that help citizens prove who they are whilst protecting their identity. Our work is integral to all DWP services.
You will help design and build automated test solutions that enable the Department to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our agents, colleagues and citizens. You will collaborate with others, actively seek input from colleagues and value a multidisciplinary team over hierarchy. You will need excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality, a belief in the benefits of faster feedback and the ability to make decisions to manage well assured services.
The successful candidate will work within the Identity and Trust team enabling citizens to access a variety of DWP services. If this sounds like you, apply today!
As an Associate Test Engineer, you will:
- Work alongside other engineers both within your team and the wider community to help solve problems and enable consistency and quality.
- Support your team to build automated tests that help to assure the quality of our services, contribute towards their design, and look for ways to improve the value automation adds.
- Understand continuous integration, delivery and deployment concepts.
- Support teams to include usability, accessibility, security, stability and capacity in the development of services.
- Help to support decision making by providing risk and context-based documentation and advice to the team.
- Maintain traceability of testing, document risks, defects, and report progress to appropriate stakeholders.
- Identify test data requirements, create and maintain test data.
- Commit to continuous personal development, learning and training.
