The Programme Delivery Manager is a senior technology role, responsible for ensuring that changes to existing technology or the introduction of new technology is delivered to meet agreed business requirements. This is a critical role in the context of building sustainable capability to operate, support and improve services in the DVSA.

You will be responsible for driving a learning culture that promotes agile change to staff at all levels within the business, delivering projects, products and services that meet user needs. Using the most appropriate agile approach, you will be able to lead teams within digital, data, technology and security fields. .

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Delivering products using the appropriate agile/Lean methodology, learning & iterating frequently
  • Ensuring delivery of solutions that meet user needs, in line with Agency strategy
  • Working with the Product Owners and Service Manager to ensure product roadmaps are visible and the flow of work into delivery is prioritised appropriately
  • Managing budgets, setting targets for and reporting on value delivered as part of wider DVSA commitments to public sector spend.
  • Responsible for the performance of cross functional Agile teams in your service portfolio which could be dispersed
  • Create an environment where teams can do their best work emphasising partnership and collaboration with suppliers
