Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt (CFCD) have oversight and control of the main levers needed to improve the way we manage fraud, error and debt within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The Integrated Risk and Intelligence Service (IRIS) is part of the CFCD directorate and works across DWP to protect the welfare system from fraud and error. These roles will be within IRIS’ central hub for coordinating and prioritising workflow delivery between IRIS and DWP operational teams. The team plays a critical role in supporting departmental fraud and error objectives, testing operational solutions, forecasting demand, and coordinating the delivery of referrals.
The role includes:

- Providing strategic context to set prioritisation and direction, and drive achievement of our objectives.
- Collaborating effectively with multiple senior stakeholders, influencing strategic direction and decision-making to capitalise on opportunities to tackle fraud and error in DWP.
- Forecasting, coordinating and planning delivery of products and services to operational teams throughout DWP to meet departmental fraud and error objectives.
- Effectively prioritising and working at pace to lead delivery of effective strategic and tactical solutions to complex problems and risks.
- Being a proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to maximise effectiveness and impact.
- Using your well-developed verbal and written communication skills to explain complex issues in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
- Taking a proactive role in wider senior leader forums across the department.
- Being a visible and accessible senior leader who cares about our people and the services we deliver.
