Can you develop performance measurement frameworks (KPIs, goals, user needs, benefits) and analyse services against them, adapting the approach as services evolve? Turn complex evidence into clear, actionable insight through effective storytelling that drives data‑informed decisions? Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with delivery teams to define “what good looks like”, form hypotheses, and secure the tracking/data needed to prove impact? Bring together quantitative and qualitative evidence, using performance analytics and user feedback, to explain performance and recommend change? Communicate complex analysis clearly to influence decisions among product, policy and senior stakeholders? Hands‑on experience with tools such as Power BI and GA4, and data languages like SQL and DAX? Foster collaboration across a digital community by sharing best practices in performance analysis, driving improvements in analytical quality and consistency?

Join DVSA’s Digital & Data directorate as a Senior Performance Analyst, working within the Information Management, Security and Data community to turn data into decisions that keep Britain moving safely and sustainably. As part of the wider DVSA data team, you’ll collaborate with service owners across DVSA to define “what good looks like” and provide governance and assurance for high-quality analytics. You’ll work closely with product, policy and enforcement teams, shaping frameworks and standards that raise analytical quality across the Agency. This role combines technical expertise with strategic influence, ensuring insights drive operational improvements and policy outcomes. Based in one of our digital hubs you’ll join a supportive, high-performing team that values curiosity, clarity and impact—making this an exciting opportunity to contribute to DVSA’s mission and the future of data‑driven decision‑making.
