The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) helps keep Britain moving, safely and sustainably. We support people through a lifetime of safe journeys, ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy and protecting against unsafe drivers and vehicles. The post-holder is responsible for ensuring all administrative support activities are carried out efficiently and effectively for the Driver Services Business Services team, with a strong service focus that contributes to the effective delivery of Operations frontline services. The postholder will provide an efficient and professional service to the driver service directorate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Operations mailboxes, ensuring requests are triaged, escalated, and monitored as required.
  • Act as secretariat for key meetings and networks across Operations: drafting agendas, arranging guest attendance, taking action points, and assigning these to responsible owners.
  • Extract and share information pertaining to driver services risks with internal stakeholders as requested.
  • Support the running of driver services events, identifying suitable venues, and assisting with the running of events on the day.
  • Contribute to the development of robust business cases by obtaining relevant information on costs, performance, MI, etc.
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well‑respected Agency.

Qualifications

  • Can you demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment?
  • Are you confident using a range of Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Forms and Live Events, as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint?
  • Do you have a clear understanding of corporate risk management and governance?
