We are seeking an experienced, influential and forward‑thinking Head of Business Analysis to lead, develop and professionalise the Business Analysis capability across the organisation. This is a senior strategic role with enterprise‑wide reach, shaping how we deliver technology‑enabled change, improve business processes, and support critical national services. The successful candidate will set the direction for the BA profession, lead a high‑performing community, assure major transformation initiatives, and act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders. You will bring deep experience of business analysis excellence from any sector — public or private — and have the credibility to influence executive decision‑making. We welcome applications from candidates who have not previously worked in Government. Experience in large‑scale, regulated, complex, or multi‑supplier environments is highly valuable.
Why This Role Is Unique: This role aligns with the Government Digital & Data (DDaT) profession, but welcomes cross‑sector applicants. - Operate in a hybrid legacy‑to‑cloud environment where strong analysis and modelling skills genuinely shape outcomes.
- Establish a consistent BA standards and modelling framework embedded across major transformation initiatives.
- Provide a clear enterprise‑wide view of key business processes, ownership and dependencies.
- Introduce a robust requirements assurance model trusted by governance forums.
- Evidenced uplift in BA capability, skills development and community maturity.
