This role will support the Cabinet Office in its journey from Google based technology to Microsoft 365.
Overview
The role will be based in the Digital Knowledge & Information Management (DKIM) team within Cabinet Office Digital. The DKIM team delivers the Cabinet Office’s priorities and purpose through providing digital information and records management, and archive services. The Cabinet Office creates some of the most important official records in government, including Prime Ministerial records.
Responsibilities
- You will be delivering responsive operational services by:
- Working with an agile DKIM M365 Ops team which involves collaboration with users and stakeholders including the programme DKIM team; Departmental Records Officers; Cabinet Office Business units and M365 champions; Team Owners.
- Maturing the department’s use of the M365 functionality such as the development of workflows for Information and Records management.
- Working with our technical partners to support deployment of new or updated apps and technical capabilities in M365 environments.
- Ensure success and operational efficiency through change; continuous improvement; risk and reporting issues.
- Respond to requests for Teams, SharePoint sites, information spaces.
- Assess requirements, provide good practice advice, and propose technical solutions for information and records management within M365, utilising Purview and SharePoint admin centre.
The postholder will work with the DKIM G7 Head of Unit to deliver business critical services. This includes:
- Supporting design and delivery of business transformation activity in our live services and the maturity of adoption of our M365 system;
- Supporting delivery of business and government organisational change;
- Auditing, assuring and enforcing information management good practice across the department.
