As Debt Management Lead, you will provide strategic debt management support to Senior Leadership, Devolved Governments, and Four Nations boards and committees for the multibillion four nations pEPR. You will work closely and build critical relationships with debt management professionals across Defra, Devolved Governments, and other government departments, maintaining key relationships between SA and stakeholders involved in debt management.

Reporting to the Head of Finance for the pEPR Scheme Administrator (SA), the Debt Management Lead will collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver comprehensive debt management functions for the SA.

You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) on obligated producer debt, resolving complex issues in partnership with our third-party financial services provider. You should be comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced environment, working closely with SA Finance functions, monitoring, reporting, and making recommendations on debt management to Devolved Governments and Governance forums. Your goal is to drive business outcomes through excellent service and strong stakeholder relationships.

This role involves a broad range of duties, supporting key business areas and informing strategic and operational decisions.
