Our broad remit means we play a major role in people\βs day-to-day life, from the food we eat, and the air we breathe, to the water we drink.

This role can be based at any Main Defra Policy Hub. You will be expected work in the office at least 60% of the time.
About The Role
Defra is on a journey to grow and drive the usage of Microsoft Power Platform tools (Automate, Apps, BI) and we have created this new and exciting role to help the Strategy and Water and Science & Analysis Groups to identify new ways of working, using these tools to create efficiencies, better ways of work and to transform the way that we do things. These roles will sit within the Group Business Management Team and will support all of our Directorates to identify opportunities to use these tools in a better way. We have a small team and a pipeline of work already programmed so the successful candidate will be able to get cracking straight away.
The role holder will:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Group\βs processes and support implementing them
- Manage the end-to-end process from concept and visualisation, through development and delivery to post-delivery and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities to utilise the Power Platform of tools (Power BI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate) to improve existing tools and practices and implement the products and support existing products using the Power Platform
- Be our key experts in driving our approach to citizen development β providing support, guidance and assistance to colleagues wanting to develop their own small/medium solutions
