This is an excellent opportunity to work with various teams within the Estates Management Group, to ensure successful delivery of strategic business strategy planning and co-ordination.

The Estates Business Manager will be responsible for providing direction and leadership within the DVLA Estates Management Group (EMG). Ensuring that the strategic vision, plans, objectives policies and procedures are effectively planned, defined, articulated and cascaded.

You will also lead on key people processes for EMG and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure organisational learning and development opportunities are fully exploited to enhance estates operational capability.

The post holder will manage relevant business management dependencies, identifying and adapting plans to meet changing priorities and will be accountable for the successful delivery of business outcomes and benefits in relation to the EMG objectives.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assist in driving any strategic initiatives, working closely with EMG senior management to ensure the approach to Estates strategy is fully integrated.
  • Lead the EMG teams through organisational change, supporting the vision for EMG and engaging with COEs, Service Delivery, suppliers etc.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the risk management process across EMG, owning the overall departmental risk register and ensuring integration with the wider HRED and corporate risk registers.
  • Develop and continuously improve the Estates Governance Frameworks, ensuring compliance with the Cabinet Office Controls matrix for property management, supporting the EMG Senior Management Team in managing the overall assurance frameworks.
