The Property Services team undertake reactive, planned, and cyclical maintenance for all Redcar & Cleveland Council properties. Our property portfolio varies from a small number of domestic dwellings but mainly comprises larger commercial buildings, schools, and offices.
Based from South Tees Business Centre and working throughout the borough, the main tasks associated with the post will be to assist the team with plumbing reactive, maintenance, and planned work, whilst working towards gaining experience and relevant qualifications to become a qualified plumber and domestic heating technician.
We are looking for a hard‑working, positive individual who is self‑motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge. Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit. Applicants must hold (or be willing to work towards) essential English and maths qualifications as part of their apprenticeship programme, depending on age.
You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician, Level 3 qualification at Redcar and Cleveland College.

This is a fixed‑term contract for 48 months (4 years). National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year if 19.
