The Passenger Transport Team is looking for a highly organised, customer-focused Passenger Transport Support Officer to join our busy and dedicated service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of essential transport services for children, young people and vulnerable adults across the borough. You will work closely with transport colleagues, schools, parents, transport providers and other stakeholders to ensure transport services are administered efficiently and effectively. Daily duties will include:
- Managing enquiries
- Maintaining transport records and databases
- Administering home to school transport schemes
- Supporting transport operations
- Assisting with the coordination of transport arrangements.
You will also help monitor service performance, maintain compliance records and support the wider team in delivering a safe and reliable service.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You should have experience in an administrative, business support or customer service role, be confident using Microsoft Office applications and have the ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, building positive relationships and making a difference to local communities. In return, you will gain valuable experience within a busy operational service, with opportunities for training, development and involvement in service improvement projects.
