The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.
We are looking for a Finance Apprentice to help support the day‑to‑day financial operations of the organisation while studying towards a finance apprenticeship qualification. In this role, you will gain experience across a range of finance functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, expenses processing, finance systems administration, and general financial administration.
Key duties will include:
- Processing expense claims, journals, and internal recharges.
- Supporting finance system administration and handling finance queries.
- Managing finance inbox queries and distributing emails appropriately.
- Processing EPOS till receipts and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with other finance administration tasks as required.
You will also be expected to attend training, complete assignments, and maintain progress within the level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship programme. You will have 5 GCSEs at grades A‑C (including English and Maths) or equivalent experience, meet the requirements for a level 3 finance apprenticeship, along with a strong interest in developing a career in Finance.
Qualifications
- Motivated to learn and develop professionally.
- Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Previous administration or customer service experience and awareness of public sector finance would be advantageous.
