We are looking for a passionate and resilient Employment Support Mentor to join our team, supporting individuals who face multiple and complex barriers to gaining and sustaining employment. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with participants who may be experiencing challenges such as long-term unemployment, mental health issues, homelessness, substance misuse, low skills, or involvement with the criminal justice system. Your focus will be to empower individuals, build confidence, and support them to move towards meaningful and sustainable employment.
Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one mentoring and tailored support plans based on individual needs
- Identify barriers to employment and implement practical strategies to overcome them
- Support participants in developing employability skills, including CV writing, interview preparation, and job search
- Track progress and maintain accurate records in line with programme requirements
- Motivate and inspire individuals to build confidence, resilience, and independence
- Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all participants
