We are looking for a well organised and efficient storekeeper to fill the role of Hazardous Waste Storekeeper within Fuels and Lubricants (F&L), as part of Materiel Management & Distribution Flight (MMDF) to provide hazardous waste logistical support to RAF Waddington. This support contributes to the safe removal of hazardous waste and specialist advice for numerous stakeholders, including Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (RAFAT).

RAF Waddington s Logistic Squadron are looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently, as well as part of a team, while communicating effectively to carry out essential safety critical duties that help mitigate against any risks to life and environment.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week., The key tasks of the Hazardous Waste Storekeeper include:

  • Providing a hazardous waste collection service, as well as advice, to all stakeholders at RAF Waddington. This is managed through the Hazardous Waste Senior Storekeeper.

  • Assisting the Senior Storekeeper in maintaining your Area of Responsibility (AOR), ensuring compliancy with H&S legislation.

  • Escorting of contractors from the Main Guardroom for the safe collection of hazardous waste material.

  • Providing hazardous waste assistance to F&L during any exercise or real-life spills. Assisting in the activation of the Unit Spillage Response Plan (USRP) if, and when, required., We’ll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:
