The HEO Business Intelligence & Validation Manager will work as part of a small team at the Defence School of CIS (DSCIS) and contribute to the first line of business defence. The Manager will be expected to lead on quality issues and assist in the improvement of training policy, process and products.

The role is based at HQ DSCIS Blandford Camp Dorset and services deployed training delivery schools at Blandford Camp, RAF Cosford and RAF Digby.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week., The position sits within The Defence School of Communications and Information Systems (DSCIS) under the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT), which is responsible for delivering all technical training across Defence to meet the operational demands of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.

Reporting to Head Risk Quality & Compliance (RQC) the successful candidate will work as a key member of the RQC Team, ensuring that the quality management principles are applied across the enterprise.

This Business Intelligence & Validation Manager will control the quality of training through a review, assess, evaluate and report cycle. DSCIS employs the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) that sees a training requirement turned into a training delivery solution at one of its Technical Training Schools. The Business Intelligence & Validation Manager will quality check key products at specific gates and provide quality assessment before documents are moved through the chain.

The Business Intelligence & Validation Manager will support the audit function where the team will ensure that training and the management of training is safe and effective.

The role holder will be required to create and apply quality management process across the training enterprise. This will demand that processes are designed and implemented and that stakeholders comply with training management standards. The Business Intelligence & Validation Manager will be required to represent the quality interest at a number of activity gates so that the integrity of the training system can be maintained. They will join the RQC Audit team during 1st party audits ., We’ll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
