GIC Real Estate is an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public equities, real estate investment trusts, and real estate-related debt instruments.

The Global Investments & Portfolio Strategy (GIPS) group is a global team that plays a key role in supporting the Real Estate Chief Investment Officer and senior management in evaluating investments, developing investment and portfolio strategy, and defining the role of RE within the broader GIC portfolio. You will conduct independent reviews of each investment’s risk-return characteristics, oversee global portfolio construction and monitoring, drive impactful investment strategy, and provide portfolio insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Deal Evaluation: Develop an independent view of deals and underwriting.
  • Strategy: Development of Investment Strategy recommendations and Risk-Management Policies.
  • Portfolio: Monitoring and Evaluating Portfolio through analysis and forecast of economic, property and financial market trends.
  • Insights: Undertaking investment related research.
Requirements

We expect a suitable applicant will have acquired the requisite experience within 2-5 years of working in a related role, preferably on the buyside or in Investment Banking. Ability to work well in teams and with different stakeholders with confidence. Strong investment judgement skills with an interest in Real Estate investment and research. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly especially in framing issues and conveying insights.
