Our Senior Operations Manager will lead, modernise and transform Jersey’s public parking services. This is a pivotal role overseeing the island’s car parks, parking operations, and the technology and systems that keep them running smoothly. You’ll shape long‑term operational strategy, drive improvements to customer experience, and ensure our parking estate, one of the most heavily used public services in Jersey, remains safe, efficient and fit for the future.
In this role, you will regularly review operational policies, procedures and work programmes to improve effectiveness and ensure services meet operational and customer needs. You’ll lead service innovation, introduce new technologies, enhance our car park management systems, and guide teams through meaningful change. You will manage staff, contractors, physical assets, and budgets, ensuring value for money, high service standards, and compliance with Health & Safety obligations.
Strong communication skills, the confidence to lead change, and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential. You’ll bring a Level 7 management certificate or postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience gained through substantial practical work in a relevant field such as Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering. We are also seeking membership of a recognised chartered professional body, for example, the Institute of Civil/Structural Engineers (ICE, IStructE, IHE, CMI) or an equivalent level of professional accreditation.
As our subject matter expert for car parks, you’ll advise stakeholders, support policy development, and help deliver the organisation’s vision. If you're a strong leader with experience improving operational services, and you’re excited by the opportunity to modernise Jersey’s parking infrastructure, this role offers the chance to make a real, visible difference across the island.
