This role offers the opportunity to take pride in delivering highly specialist, person centred care that makes a real difference to children, young people and their families in Jersey. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the CAMHS Assessment and Crisis Pathway you will work autonomously as an expert clinical resource, providing assessment, crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic support at key points of need. You will manage your own caseload, undertake comprehensive assessments, support safe and timely decision making, and work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.

Alongside advanced clinical practice, you will contribute to education, leadership, service development and quality improvement within the specialist area. You will help ensure high standards of governance, safety and safeguarding, while supporting colleagues through supervision, education and professional leadership. This is a supported and collaborative role for an experienced clinician who values inclusive practice, continuous development and meaningful public service. About you:

  • You will be a regulated nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Profession Specific / Speciality Degree (or level 6 qualification) in Nursery equivalent.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Working towards Masters (Level 7) professional qualification, relevant to speciality.
  • Personal Portfolio demonstrates up-to date knowledge of clinical, managerial and educational aspects of contemporary practice, in line with revalidation standards.
  • Follows the 4 Pillars of specialist practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education, Research.
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical and human factors in the delivery of safe nursery practice.
  • Expert level knowledge of the Governance and Risk frameworks required to underpin the delivery of safe care.
