Our Biomedical Scientists cover a range of services in blood sciences including haematology, clinical chemistry, blood transfusion and the Jersey Blood Donor Service, meaning the roles are interesting and diverse. We are investing in our people and are devoted to building on our excellent scientific centre to deliver outstanding pathology services to our island community.
The Government of Jersey is looking to recruit qualified Biomedical Scientists for new roles, including:
- Specialist Biomedical Scientist for Haematology and Blood Transfusion (12-month contract, working day shifts only)
- Biomedical Scientist Team Manager position for Haematology (permanent, working day shifts only)
- Multidisciplinary Biomedical Scientist (permanent, rotation shifts including out of hours)

Salary CS11: £71,038 - £79,133

If you are a specialist biomedical scientist with large experience in haematology, we would like to hear from you. Multidisciplinary Biomedical Scientist in Blood Sciences - Permanent
Salary CS10: £64,466 - £71,038 (plus extra £11,686 shift allowance)
Step into a key role at the heart of Jersey's blood sciences service, supporting vital patient care during out of hours operations. You'll work across haematology, blood transfusion and biochemistry, and if your expertise is focused in only one of these areas, we'll provide full training to help you confidently cover the wider service.
Our shift pattern includes a full week off, giving you the chance to relax, explore the island, or travel further afield. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, thrives in a varied environment and is keen to broaden their skills while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
