The candidate hired will go through an Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship and will gain the qualifications needed to progress onto a finance role within the business. This role will involve assisting the financial controller and administration team in the daily running of the business.
Wage: £15,808 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-15:00, 30 minutes lunch, 38 hours a week.

Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work:
- Processing invoices
- Preparing payments
- Recording financial transactions
- Reconciling accounts
- Administration tasks that support the admin team
- Maintaining accurate financial records
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain an understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting software, financial regulations, and customer service while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will also develop essential workplace skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, organisation, and attention to detail.

What you'll learn:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues, such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience, and different media methods.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
