What youâll do at work:
- Assist in the preparation of financial accounts and other administrative tasks.
- Deal with basic bookkeeping.
- Process and pay purchase invoices.
- Record receipts and payments.
- Prepare and check monthly and yearâend accounts.
- Complete and submit basic tax returns, including selfâassessment and VAT.
- Handle company expenses and assist with payroll systems and software that pay wages and salaries.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Use computerised accounting systems and software â in particular, experience of XERO would be desirable.
- Help with information gathering and preparing financial information.
- Liaise with other team members and senior managers.
- Preparing and monitoring financial reports.
- Preparing forecasts of income and expenditure.
- Planning and budget control.
- Ensuring pension regulatory compliance.
- Measuring performance and identifying risks.
- Making recommendations for improvement.

- Collate and analyse financial information, and show how that information can be used most effectively to support value creation within an organisation.
- Apply accounting principles and adhere to legislation to ensure records are accurate and compliant with law or company policy.
- Apply professional scepticism when undertaking accounting activities.
- Interpret financial information for accounting purposes.
- Participate in or support others with quality improvement activities.
- Use software packages to assist with accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements.
- Deliver accounting tasks with a critical eye to transactions and trends.
- Use workload management principles to plan, organise and prioritise own tasks.
- Communicate accounting information through a variety of media.
- Build and maintain collaborative, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Training schedule: Professional Diploma â AAT Level 4.

Requirements:
- Essential qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in Basic Maths (grade 9/A* â 4/C) and Standard English (grade 9/A* â 4/C).
- Desirable qualifications: Level 2 AAT (grade Any) and Level 3 AAT (grade Any).
