White Rose Finance Group in Garforth is offering a Level 2 Finance Assistant apprenticeship. Gain hands‑on experience in accounts and administration, including invoices, reconciliations, and finance queries, while working towards a recognised qualification.

Wage and Hours

£15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. Hours: Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, 37 hours 30 minutes a week.

Start and Duration

Start date: Monday 8 June 2026. Duration: 1 year 4 months. Positions available: 1.

What You’ll Do at Work

  • Assisting with day‑to‑day finance administration using Xero accounting software.
  • Supporting the reconciliation of bank accounts and financial records.
  • Maintaining organised and up‑to‑date financial documentation.
  • Supporting the wider accounts and administration team with general office duties.
  • Learning how commercial finance operations work within a busy brokerage environment.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. Training provider: THE FERNANDES AND ROSARIO CONSULTING LIMITED. Training course: Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2.

What You’ll Learn

  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organization’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognize and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Training Schedule

The apprentice will gain the Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Qualification and an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting Qualification. Applicants should be able to attend weekly face‑to‑face classroom teaching or online‑live and self‑study sessions for the AAT Level 2 Apprenticeship at FAR Accountancy Training in Askham Bryan, York.

Other requirements

Expected to work from our office based in Garforth. Must be able to travel to premises for a 9.00am start. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and off‑the‑job training hours that's part of their apprenticeship (one day per week).

There will be excellent opportunities for you to take on additional responsibilities, develop your skills, and grow within the business.
