We are an independent accounting firm in Horsforth, Leeds. The role will encompass on-the-job training and college day release and is suited for a candidate with a high level of numeracy and time management skills. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and/or AAT qualification with a sound understanding of practical accounting.

Salary: £23,000 per year (salary dependent upon experience and qualifications, ranging between £19,000 & £25,000 per annum).

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm with college day release, 38 hours a week.

Start Date: Saturday, 1 August 2026.

Duration: 3 years.

What You'll Do at Work:

  • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
  • Preparation of annual and corporation accounts
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Handle HMRC queries and correspondence
  • General admin tasks as and when required
  • Management of client financial records and bookkeeping
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email
  • Commit to personal professional development and share knowledge with peers

Where You'll Work: DALE HOUSE, 64 FINK HILL, HORSFORTH, LEEDS, LS18 4DH

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You'll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Training Provider: FIRST INTUITION LEEDS LIMITED

Training Course: Accountancy or taxation professional (Level 7).

  • Evaluate information quickly and draw accurate conclusions, assessing problems from multiple angles and gathering appropriate facts and evidence for effective decision-making.

Training Schedule: Training towards full membership of the ACCA via Level 7 apprenticeship route.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications: Degree in Finance or Business (grade 2:1).

Desirable Qualifications: Other qualification such as AAT (grade Pass).
