Join a supportive finance team where you will gain practical experience, receive structured training and work towards a recognised qualification. The role provides hands-on experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations and finance administration whilst studying towards a recognised Level 2 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.
Wage: £12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices. Competitive apprenticeship salary. Bonus scheme based on personal and company performance. Company pension. Health Cash Plan & Employee Assistance Programme.
Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days. Hybrid Working: Up to 2 days per week remote, following training and competency assessment.

What you'll do at work:
- You will be mentored by an experienced Assistant Management Accountant and managed by the UK Financial Controller.
- Managing and prioritising the shared finance inbox.
- Raising customer sales invoices.
- Processing supplier invoices.
- Completing simple bank and statement reconciliations.
- Maintaining finance records and supporting data-cleansing projects.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
- Complete the off-the-job training and coursework required to progress through the AAT Level 2 certificate in accounting apprenticeship.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required and appropriate to an apprentice role.

What you’ll learn:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues, such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience, and different media methods.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
Training schedule: Level 2 Accounts / Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard, which includes: Level 2 AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting, End-Point Assessment (EPA), Blended on/off-the-job training, Zoom classroom learning each week, Ongoing CPD throughout the course.

- Essential qualifications: GCSE in English (grade 4 or above), Math (grade 4 or above). Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
