The Property Franchise Group have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Apprentice to join their Client Accounting team at their Grantham Central Office. This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who has not previously studied accountancy but is keen to begin a career in finance and accounting within a multi‑brand property group.
Wage: £14,918.80 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Training course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, 38 hours a week.
Start date: Sunday 1 March 2026
Duration: 1 year

Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You will learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.
What you’ll do at work:
- Daily client money processing
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Assisting with deposit reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of NRL tax returns
- Managing and monitoring the client accounts inbox
- Assisting with landlord and client account statements
- Supporting month‑end client accounting activities
- Maintaining accurate records in line with client money regulations and internal controls
Where you’ll work: The Old Courthouse, 60a London Road, Grantham, NG31 6HR
Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Training provider: GRANTHAM COLLEGE
What you’ll learn:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
Training schedule: In addition to training and mentoring in the workplace from a highly experienced team, you will attend Grantham College one day a week to complete AAT Level 2.
Requirements: Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
