An opportunity has arisen for a full-time office-based finance apprentice to join our friendly team. Incorporating varied duties covering daily bank postings, purchase ledger and other general accounting duties. You will work alongside the wider finance team to ensure accurate posting and recording of transactions for multiple clients.
Wage: £15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. 37 hours 30 minutes a week.
Start date: Monday 20 July 2026.
Duration: 1 year 6 months.

What you’ll do at work:
- Daily bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Identifying discrepancies and resolving issues related to financial data.
- Supporting the finance team with other accounting and business support tasks.
Learners will be required to drive between Bolton and Bury Office (8 Longsight Road, Holcombe Brook, Bury, BL0 9TD & 23 Spring Vale, Bolton, BL7 0FS) so a driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.

Training provider: BURY COLLEGE. Course: Assistant accountant (level 3). Training schedule: Assistant Accountant L3 Apprenticeship Standard. L3 Diploma in Accounting. This qualification requires weekly college attendance.

Essential qualifications: GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above). Level 2 Qual or A-Level in Accounts (grade Pass or C or above).

You will be working in a modern office environment amongst a friendly team for a fast-paced, supportive, growing business based between Holcombe Brook, Bury, and our new offices in Edgeworth, Bolton. You will also be required to work on-site at the client’s premises.
