Rehability UK are looking for a new Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Assistant Accountant apprenticeship Level 3.

Wage: £15,600 a year

Training course: Assistant accountant (level 3)

Hours: Monday‑Friday (09:00‑17:00) 37 hours a week

Start date: Wednesday 8 April 2026

Duration: 1 year 3 months

Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You will learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.

What you’ll do at work: The Apprentice Accounts Assistant will support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the efficient processing of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions across multiple ledgers. This role provides hands‑on experience in core accounting processes while working towards a recognised accounting qualification.

  • Accounts Payable: Code and process supplier invoices accurately across multiple ledgers; Match invoices to purchase orders where applicable; Ensure timely input and processing of invoices; Assist in supplier payment runs; Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Accounts Receivable: Raise invoices, including zero‑value invoices where required; Process receipts and allocate payments to appropriate accounts; Assist with credit control activities; Respond to customer queries regarding invoices and statements.
  • General Finance & Clerical Duties: Maintain and update rent schedules; Manage and monitor multiple finance inboxes, ensuring queries are actioned promptly; Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records; Assist with reconciliations across multiple ledgers; Support month‑end processes as required; Deal with internal and external finance queries effectively.

Where you’ll work: Rocky Lane, Birmingham, B6 5RQ

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

What you’ll learn: Course contents include assisting with the investigation and response to financial information queries, recording and analysing financial data using the organisation's standard tools and processes, applying double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards, assisting with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts, reconciling financial data, investigating and resolving transactional queries, developing effective working relationships with stakeholders, communicating financial information clearly, utilising digital skills, and using software packages for basic accounting tasks.

Upon completion: After this 15 month Apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Assistant Accountant apprenticeship Level 3.
