Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join our team at HMP Send, a closed female prison. As a Stores Operative you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues in a variety of trades – from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters to cleaners and administrators – all committed to creating a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the smooth and safe operation of the facilities maintenance team.
- Assist with the management of supplies, stock, and materials within the prison.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure the well‑being of prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
Qualifications
- Fork Lift Truck Certificate
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Full driving licence – D1 preferred
- HGV licence
- Up‑to‑date First Aid at Work qualification
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
