Salary: Β£48,574.47 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Coldingley, a category C adult male prison.

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who range from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, to cleaners and administrators. All are dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and weβre looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least one of the following qualifications and a combination of the following skills and experiences.
Qualifications
- Two years\β experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent β Desirable
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements β Desirable
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems β Desirable
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations β Desirable
- Fully qualified tradesperson to NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline, plumbing or equivalent β Essential
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements β Desirable
- Good Health & Safety knowledge β Desirable
- Unvented water heater vessel course G3 β Highly desirable
- L8 awareness training β Desirable (Provided if required)
