We are seeking a dedicated Site Total Facilities Manager to join our team at the category B male prison, HMP Pentonville.
Responsibilities and Role Overview
As a Site Manager you will work alongside experienced colleagues across a range of trades (Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to maintain a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, visitors and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Facilities Maintenance Team.
- Lead and manage a staff team of 15+.
- Maintain budgets and ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and prison security standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and specialist trades.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to support rehabilitation and positive change.
Qualifications
- Experience of facilities management.
- Experience of managing budgets.
- Experience of managing staff teams of 15+.
- Experience of operating in a Prison or Military environment – Desirable.
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities / building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience.
- IOSH Qualification – Desirable.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
