We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison. Responsibilities:- Supervise staff within the mechanical/plumbing discipline and contribute to a safe, compliant, and efficient facilities operation.
- Collaborate with Plumbers, Electricians, and other trade colleagues to maintain and repair building services systems.
- Support delivery of Water Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements where applicable.
- Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent.
- Familiar with Water Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating) and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- First Aid at Work qualification (Up to date) β Desirable.
- Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) β Desirable.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge; excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
- Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, with a range of non-contractual benefits including Death in Service at 4x salary, private GP consultations, and an Employee Assistance Programme offering counselling and preventative care information.
