We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CATEGORY B & Adult Male prison. We work MONDAY - FRIDAY / SUNDAY as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Lewes runs like a self-contained town. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, impacting every prisoner, employee, visitor, and wider community.
As a Stores Operative, you will work alongside experienced colleagues such as Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, and others, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Responsibilities:
- Use your skills to create a better future for others, promote rehabilitation and positive change, and contribute to our mission to maintain secure and safe prison environments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Fork Lift Truck Certificate
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Full driving licence, preferably with D1HGV Licence
- Up to date First Aid at Work qualification
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
Benefits:
