About the Role

We are seeking a practical and confident Handyperson / Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Albany, a category B, adult male prison as an Escort / Fabric Operative. As an Escort / Fabric Operative, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a range of trades to maintain the safety and efficiency of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use hand and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks.
  • Work within a building fabric / Hard FM environment.
  • Support the smooth and safe operation of the prison.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
